Dr. Leonard Mirvis

MRCGP, MFHom

Dr Leonard Mirvis graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1976. He went on to train at Baragwanath Hospital, Africa’s largest hospital, and qualified as a doctor in South Africa.

Dr Mirvis moved to London to further his training, qualifying in Family Medicine and taking the MRCGP exam. He went on to work as a suburban GP for many years  before emigrating to Manitoba, Canada, where he worked in a rural practice with other doctors, running their own small rural hospital.

“I am an experienced general practitioner having practiced for over thirty years on three continents. I am particularly interested in holistic medicine and natural therapy. I have studied homoeopathy and have an interest in herbal medicine. Cannabis appears to be a natural product with great potential in many diseases. I am excited to be at the forefront of  the medical use of this ancient but neglected medicine.”

Dr Mirvis relocated to Jersey to be nearer to his family and prescribes medical cannabis to Jersey patients of The Medical Cannabis Clinics. He enjoys sea swimming, running a book club and gardening in his spare time.
